Research Activities

  • Systems Biology
  • Biomedical research is changing due to the rapid accumulation of experimental data at an unprecedented scale, revealing increasing degrees of complexity of biological processes. Life Sciences are facing a transition from a descriptive to a mechanistic approach that reveals principles of cells, cellular networks, organs, and their interactions across several spatial and temporal scales. Hence computational disease modeling is a fact or fiction? From which systems biology concept arises.

Systems biology is the study of how molecules interact and come together to give rise to sub cellular machinery that forms the functional units, which are capable of operations that are needed for cell, tissue/organ level physiological functions. Objective of systems biology is to understand how the elements and their interactions together give rise to the emergent properties of the system. The high-throughput procedures have established genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and phenomics.Integration of various high-throughput data is known as Systems biology.

  • Organic Horticulture is the science and art of growing fruits, vegetables, flowers, or ornamental plants by following the essential principles of organic agriculture in soil building and conservation, pest management, and heirloom variety preservation. In simple words we can say Organic Horticulture (or organic gardening) is based on knowledge and techniques gathered over thousands of years.
